What are Interrogatories?

When involved in litigation it is scary to be served with Interrogatories (form or special) and no clue what you are supposed to do with them and what they even are.

Don't be scared! Interrogatory is a super fancy word for question. They are just questions that need to be answered to the best of your ability.

They do need to be answered within a specific time frame and in a specific format (as you always want to make sure your general objections are always there).

So be sure if you are served (receive) some interrogatories you seek some form of assistance as you do not want to fall into the trap of waiting to long and then having to rush and get them done. While some judge may be a little lenient with pro per (self represented) it does not mean all are or they have to be.

Remember Lack of knowledge or understanding of the law is not a defense in the courts!
